Bill & Sybil Godwin
The Retail Queen
Stacy is originally from Philly and definitely knows the proper way to make a cheesesteak. She’s an early riser who is always sure to get her steps in, and we love her dedication to her role as General Manager. We appreciate that she always has snacks readily available. Lost? Stacy’s impressive knowledge of the city will get you anywhere you need to go.
The Emo Dad
After shuffling around the northeast for years Brian landed in Charlotte in 2015 and soon after became our Merchandise Director. Over the years he’s gotten to know and understand our Dilworth neighborhood regulars and all the products that they love. With a background in visual merchandising and retail display, he takes great pride in the aesthetics of our store. In his spare time, you may find him enjoying a live show or chatting about Taylor Swift and his cat Walter. Make sure to give him a high-five when you see him!
Colette is our store's Jack of All Trades! A Charlotte native, Colette has been with Paper Skyscraper for four years. When she's not doing a little of everything in the store, you can find her with her perfect pup Rocky, exploring local parks with her loved ones, modeling the latest style of Sw-eans (sweat pant jeans), or trying to start a dance party wherever she goes. She loves reading, attending concerts, and trying out new snacks in the store.
Eric is originally from Upstate New York and previously lived in Central Florida. He joined Paper Skyscraper as it celebrated its 15th anniversary (he prefers you don't do the math) and loves seeing the constant influx of new products. He spends his free time enjoying the company and musings of his dogs, reading, biking, and visiting Walt Disney World.
The Store Songbird
Corinne has recently returned to Charlotte after three years in New York City and is so excited to be working at Paper Skyscraper. When she's not reading the back covers of our new books, Corinne is an actress, singer and dancer who is anxiously awaiting theatres to reopen post Covid. In her free time, Corinne loves exploring new hiking trails, searching dog adoption websites and doing jigsaw puzzles. Despite her interests, she is shockingly not 67 years old.
The Cruise Director
Casey is originally from Atlanta, but flew in on a jet plane to Charlotte three years ago. When she isn’t standing in line at the CLT Starbucks counter, she can be found in Paper Skyscraper laughing with our customers and talking up our candle collection. In her free time, she likes checking books off her “to-read” list, making charcuterie boards and thrifting for vintage dresses.
Claiborne is a North Carolina native and grew up in Raleigh. After completing his studies in Film Production at UNC Charlotte, he worked as a touring musician and then producer in the sound design industry. In his spare time outside of music, you can find him playing hockey, cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes, or watching Star Wars.
